Professor Leak

Hey everyone!

This is your friendly neighborhood relative. I just wanted to give everyone a little shout out and an exciting update that is happening in my life. As some of you know this next winter semester I will be teaching a class entitled "Sociology of Film". I have been blessed to develop and create this class that I will be teaching. Its going to really help me when I go and apply for graduate schools, and gives me some hands on experience of teaching in the University setting (which is something I would like to do). Recently the BYU-Idaho school news paper entitled "The Scroll" featured an article about the class. I wanted to put up the link so you guys could check it out. SEE YOU ALL AT CHRISTMAS!! Clink on the link below for the article.

Hot Tubbin in the Rockies...

It's time to report a hot tub sighting in Parker, CO. Spa Brokers of Denver delivered our new hot tub on Wednesday and "schlepped" it down the hill into our backyard. After a beautiful filling and start up by Mom, we have been tubbin for the past three nights. It's very relaxing and quite a view from the tub of the Denver skyline. We are looking forward to having a few visitors at Christmas time enjoy the tub and sights with us.

Rocktober!

By now all of you know the results of the national league division playoffs. Rockies will attempt to make more history for Colorado by taking on the Diamondbacks in the NLCS this week. Look for some outstanding play by Tulo, Helton, Holliday, Atkins, Hawpe and Kaz. Rockies win in 5 games!

We Still Have Basketball

Well I know there are plenty of Aggie fans out there in blogger space. It has been a long football season and its not even half over yet! It doesn't look to get too much better as the Aggies continue to disappoint and Coach Guy can't figure out how to recruit players to Logan. But at least we still have USU basketball to hang our hat on. Go Aggies!

Hey everyone! This is my first time ever posting. I got frustrated that Zach was taking over everything so I decided to show the fun that us four are having. Me and Mark came up to Rexburg this weekend and we realized on our way up that we have been seeing James and Spring almost every other weekend. Life is good for us though. Mark got a job as an entry level accountant and it will also count as an internship for Utah State starting next semester. That was a huge blessing that we weren't expecting. I am now working at an office downtown doing phone calls and other random things for a small business. We are moving in two weeks to south Logan and are getting quite excited. Now we will actually be able to wash our clothes at our house and when Jameson and Spring come, they will have their own room. These are only some of the few bonuses that we have found. Anyways, here are some pictures from our weekend up here. We had a wiffle ball tournament last night and James and Spring killed us by a long shot. The McLaws are disappointing to the game thats for sure. The other pictures are from the party we had for Springs birthday. Well thats all for now but we love you all. See the other kids can be interesting too, Zach. LOVE YOU BYE!

The Blog Rebellion Begins

Well this note is to let all Leak family members within my reach that a new rebel blog has been started to more fully dedicate time and internet space to the most adorable, toughest, cutest and highly intelligent part of the Leak family tree.......The Zachary & Meredith Leak Family. We will still be contributing to the boring family blog but if you want to see more of our family and experience the best of the best please go to: http://www.meredithandzachleak.blogspot.com/. You will not be let down. By the way if you were wondering the cleancut Union solider on the left represents Zach and the scruffy hillbilly Confederate solider on the right represents Jamo. Looks like I'm winning!

Big-Boy-Bed-Bound!

Well it is official our baby is growing up! We made a major transition in his and our lives when he finally made the jump to his new big-boy bed....or if you ask him his big-girl bed. We don't know where he picked that one up. Our little Mason is getting bigger by the day and we can't believe he has graduated from his trusty crib. We found a bed and gave it some TLC and it turned out pretty good. Meredith being the perfectionist she is wasn't completely happy but the bed really does look great. Mason always tells us its the bed we made for him. Hope all is well, enjoy the pictures.

Peyton's Blessing Day

For all of you who could not come we missed you. Here are some of the pictures of Peyton on her big day. It was so much fun to have our family here in Palmdale. Although I think the heat chased some members away. Hope all is well with everyone.

Mini-reunion in Idaho

Greetings from Idaho where 3 of the 4 original Leak brothers have been swapping stories and enjoying "That Famous Preston Night Rodeo" from afar. Grandpa Leak is home from the hospital and enjoying life at home once again--except the heat. We miss you Kevin for our mini-reunion.

Harry Potter Mayhem

It is true that Harry Potter has become a cultural phenomenon but I am here to report that it has officially broken through to several hard-headed members of our own family. Recent information collected by none other than myself has confirmed that Jameson and Alisa are actually embarking on a journey of fantasy and wonder......They are reading the Harry Potter novels. In the beginning I myself was a harsh critic of Harry Potter and the many "fanatics" who dressed as wizards and witches. But after reading the books and seeing the movies I am counted among the millions of fans of not only the well written books but the movies as well. If there are any members of our family within my reach who have not read the books or written it off as children's nonsense I urge you to discover the amazing world of Harry Potter. You will not be disappointed or let down.

Pretty in Pink

Well we finally ventured out to church. Peyton wore an adorable pink dress and slept through all three hours!! Needless to say she had a rough night after sleeping in church. We love her so much and are so grateful to have her part of our family. Even though we brought her into 100+ degree weather....yuck.

Splish Splash

Here are the pictures of Peyton's first real bath. Of course Mason got involved and after he proceeded to dump water over the entire bathroom he actually helped give his little sister a bath. He also managed to dump water down her mouth but she is pretty tough and didn't even cry. She is probably wondering why we brought her into the Lions den. Enjoy the pictures!

Dear Abby: Heartbroken in Rexburg

Well, as some as you already know, Spring and I had the once in a lifetime pleasure to see Glenn Beck live in his "An Inconvient Tour" last week in Boise, Idaho. We anticipated this to the maximum, even spending up to 37$ a ticket to see out beloved Glenn. All I can say to my fellow family members is only now, in hindsight, do I see our colossal mistake. Why did no one warn us? The title to the show was very fitting, his "Inconvient Tour" was very inconvient to us. We were the lucky viewers of Glenn Beck's two hour comedy routine!! I know, I know, many of you are jealous now. He hardly even mentioned any politics of any kind, but proceeded to crack jokes for two hours. Ranging from him spending time at the DMV, to his daughter losing her virginity. To even a short gospel lesson right out of Ether 12. Not to mention that he took the Lord's name in vain 4 times. Which was surprising to me, as Mr. Beck is occasionaly, but not expected at all. All I have to say is the Glenn Beck radio show and tv show which I have grown to love, was not captured whatsoever in this "Tour". Since I am out about 80$ now, I am taking donations, so that I can pay rent next month. My advice to you; avoid any "Inconvient tours" or "Inconvient truths", its really not worth it.
