What's Up? (the sky tehe!)

Hola to Utah and Idaho! Here is a update on my life here in Denver! I made the play Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! I am an Oompa Loompa! I am so excited! And for the record, I don't believe we are painting our faces orange or green or any other color you can think of! I have been going to school and stuff as well. I just got over being sick again with a cold. I have been getting a lot of colds lately and it isn't fun! My friendship with Shilo is great! We hang out every weekend and we play with the web-cam Mom and Dad bought. Just last weekend, we went with the other Beehives in the ward to the Parker Family Fair and danced up on stage with Bishop Downs of the Stonegate Ward. The sad part was no one got a picture! That is really what is going on in my life now! Peace-Love-JONAS!!!

Shilo and me on the web-cam being weird (if you couldn't tell!)

Jameson and Spring Update

Hello Family. This is Jameson Leak coming to you from Rexburg, Idaho. I just thought you guys might want a small update on what we are up to. Well, to start things off, Spring received her associates degree in General Studies, preparing her for wherever I head off to graduate school. The school told us this is the best path to take for her, that way all 60 of the credits she has earned will transfer over to the school we go to. Right now she is looking around for a job to work for the next two months until we move to Denver after I graduate. She hasn't had much luck, but she is still looking. Also, to let everyone know, my rash is completely gone now. I do get a bit ictchy every now and then, but I am very grateful for it to be over. This saturday I take the GRE. I am excited, a little nervous, but ready to get it over with. Hopefully I can do well enough so I can make it to a school worth going to. Grandpa's funeral was sad but also happy. I got to see so many family members and talk with people, it was great. Sad to see Grandpa pass, but we all know he is doing better now. This past weekend Mark and Alisa came up for a visit. We went to the civil defense caves and just hung out. This Thursday I take a field trip for my American Humanities class to Yellowstone and Cody, WY for the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. That should be fun. Well G's and Gents, hope your all doing well. PEACE OUT (Click on the pictures for a closer look)

RASH UPDATE

Well the rash has gotten a bit worse in a few areas. It has slowly moved up my torso, and seems to be reaching my neck...I'm just hoping it will stop there. My arm has improved drastically. The blisters and swelling have subsided significantly. Enjoy...

Fun With Poison Oak

NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART! Well this pictures were taken on friday...and I guess we can say things have gotten a lot worse. On monday of last week I touched some poison oak...ivy...something, and it hit me hard. My entire waist is now a read bulge, I currently cannot bend my left lead, and my arm is in bad shape. I went to the doctor and he told me its the worse case he has ever seen...not that it means much, but boy it made me feel a little more special. He put me on steroids. Some of the side effects are: nervousness, changes in menstrual period, unusual weight gain, increased sexual appetite (sorry spring) black tarry stool, seizures, etc. That is seriously what it says, with a ton more things, on my prescription paper. Besides that, things have been going great for us, just working hard, and trying to save money. Two weeks from tomorrow school will start, and I'm scheduled to take the GRE on September 27...so wish me luck...and pray for me. See you all later.

This is my full body shot...can't see it all....the rash on my waist has gotten a lot worse since these were taken.

I now have leprosy.

Camping in Heise and Palisades

Word G's and Ho's....

The past two weeks we have been doing some camping. First we went to Kelley Canyon and did a little camping, not much to speak of there. Over the past weekend we went to Palisades. There is a base camp and about 4 miles from the base camp there is the Palisades Lower Lake. 3 miles above that, there is the Palisades Upper Lake. These lakes were formed a while back from some landslides that dammed up the river. It was an awesome, but long, hike. A total of fifteen miles round trip!! We were worn out afterwards. It was some of the coolest things I have seen in my time in Idaho yet. We saw a Mountain Goat hanging around the side of a sheer cliff. Supposedly they are really rare to see, I read that a guy has been on the Palisades hike over 100 times and only seen a Goat 4 times. It was really cool to see him running around a cliff. We saw a pack of Moose and a bunch of snakes. The lakes were a sight, but the water was a bit too cold to swim in (even though I did...Spring was a bit intimidated by the water). After the hike, I slept for 13 straight hours. Spring decided to wear her chacos (sandals) on the hike...lets just say her feet were rubbed a bit raw. Here are some pics from the HIKE!!!! Later my sweet baby followers.

This is a pic of the river we followed almost the whole way up.

Here is us at the lower lake. If you see the mountain in the background that is smaller, the upper lake is on the other side of that.

Here is a pic of when we were coming down from the Upper Lake, it was all beautiful.

Here we are, just about to leave the upper lake. It is a huge lake, well worth the 7 miles up!

Here is Marty. We were about 20 feet from him.

Here is the goat we named Zach. (only cuz he looked like he had a comb over) It was cool to see him running and jumping. Our crappy camera couldn't get very good pics.

Let the Madness Begin!

Due to the unbearable pressure and amount of user errors experienced last year I am turning the March Madness commissioner duties back over to RKL. Please direct all inquiries to rkleak@yahoo.com. Hope we all have a fun and clean tournament this year.....Gary. Anyway hope the Aggies get in so Jaycee gets one last chance at playing in the big dance.

Just thought we would say hi to everyone. After the traumatic post from Allene, here are some "wholesome"images. These are some pictures of what we did for my birthday. Yes, that is my delicious donut cake. And yes to your next question: Our new favorite restaurant is the hospital in Rexburg. Every week you learn something new right? Well we hope all is well and Zach survived his accident. Love everyone.

The Other Half...

Well since there are now quite a few Coloradians, we thought we might show you how the other half is living. We went up to the Rexburg Temple open house a few weekends ago and here are some pictures of our adventures. Which by the way...it might surprise you that Rexburg has some of the best custard in the country. Jameson and his mallow addiction got him a little sick though. Love you all. See you in about a month!

iPod CRAZY!

Yes! I am saving up for an iPod! I am planning on using babysitting money to pay for it. But, of course, I had to sprain my foot. So I am excepting donations! Contact me if you want to donate to the cause!
